After completing his medical degree and cardiology training at McGill University, Dr Bernier went on to complete a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology under the supervision of Dr Mark Josephson, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University. Dr Bernier has expertise in a wide range of ablation and device therapies for cardiac rhythm disturbances, with a particular interest in the management of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia. He also leads the clinic dedicated to genetic arrhythmia syndromes. In addition, he is the co-director of the cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program at McGill University.
