The MUHC Interventional Cardiology Program provides basic and advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures to our population in the beautiful, state-of-the-art, 3-room Glen site catheterization laboratory. Our program offers 24hour/7 days a week coverage for treatment of myocardial infarction in patients presenting to our emergency room or transferred from community hospitals. A high-volume of percutaneous implantation of valves is performed by the structural heart team in collaboration with cardiac surgery. Finally, the new and world-renowned complex percutaneous coronary intervention program offers effective revascularisation to patients who can’t be treated with conventional techniques or surgery, including patients with chronic total occlusions of their arteries and patients who have already had prior bypass surgery.
