This is one of the most active programs in the country and a leader in mechanical heart assist devices. The Heart Failure clinic, based at the Glen site, is a large referral centre receiving patients from other academic and community heart failure clinics across Quebec with heart failure requiring advanced care through novel research therapies, mechanical heart assist devices or transplants. It is the only centre in Quebec to offer combined heart and other solid organ transplants such as heart-kidney and heart-liver transplantation.
